At AgEtal, we are able to carry out microbiological testing to detect there is bacteria present in your food products. We use a range of methods depending on the organism (PCR, traditional plate tests) to ensure food safety. 

Organisms tested

Organisms that can be tested for include:

  • Escherichia coli; Coliforms
  • Thermotolerant coliforms in water
  • Escherichia coli  O157 H7
  • Salmonella spp.
  • Staphylococcus spp. (coagulase +ve)
  • Listeria monocytogenes; Listeria spp.
  • Bacillus cereus
  • Plate count - Aerobic
  • Enterobacteriaceae
  • Yeasts and moulds
