AgEtal's interest in special projects, research, and product and process development, recently saw us participate in trials involving ground-breaking technology by irtech. In conjunction with QUT PhD candidate, Tom Noble, AgEtal tested a range of key microbiological indicators when irtech applied the technology to a selection of grains.
Pre- and post-treatment results of this preliminary trial demonstrated promising potential for sanitisation applications in certain grains. Of particular interest was the little-to-no loss of vigour and germination rates observed in preliminary sample treatments, in the short term. Further testing is needed to determine the long term effect.
With the range of uses of this technology constantly expanding, the advancement of irtech's unconventional and patented method of treatment is definitely one to watch. For more information on this technology, you can visit the irtech website. If you have a special project or research interest of your own, feel free to contact us at AgEtal to ask if we can help.
