Heritage Business Excellence Awards, Australian Technologies Competition and Microbiology NATA accreditation
We have been absolutely humbled to receive an enormous amount of support and recognition from both our local and wider communities. This support is what makes our industry strong and resilient when faced with difficult seasons.
On Saturday night, the AgEtal team were invited to attend the Heritage Business Excellence Awards where we were awarded Division and Category prizes for Industry (Trades and Services). AgEtal was awarded Division and Category Winner for Industry and Category Finalist for Innovation.
Ken wishes to share a message of thanks to our wonderful customers, staff and community:
“Well, there are a few tributes to follow! What an epic evening. AgEtal took out the Division and Category prizes at the Toowoomba Business Excellence Awards in the Division for Industry - Trades and Services.
Top of the pile are our amazing staff! Each and every one of you. We have grown from a 1 man band in less than 6 years to having 19 beautiful people working at AgEtal. You are pure gold! We get so many comments that it is hard to find good staff. How wrong could they be! Sometimes the casual employees in businesses don’t get a mention. Let me say that without our team of casual staff, AgEtal would never be what it is today! We also have about a dozen degrees and several hundred years of accumulated experience making up our full team. This is for all of you!
Then, to our customers. We are well positioned to understand the tough times that you have endured through the worst drought in living memory. It is our fervent wish to see you beat it and prosper. We are totally on your side. We have wonderful customers that have stood by us through thick and thin. Thank you for your support and loyalty!
Any business is a partnership with its staff, customers, and also its suppliers. We have so many great and efficient suppliers. Thanks to all, but I want to single out one in particular, The National Australia Bank. They have stood by us and believed in us all the way. They have understood the tough times that agri business is going through and have been rock-solid supporters of us.
To our families and friends, you have been such a support! That chat on the phone, email, cup of coffee, passing joke... they all keep us energised and on track. Thank you - and looking forward to that next beer or coffee on you!
Finally, the Toowoomba community... no business exists in isolation. We live amongst people - farms, manufacturers, schools, hospitals, cafes, restaurants, and all manner of different businesses. They are all so important to a functional society. We have our community leaders and representatives too, who have been such powerful advocates for the success and progress of our community. Well done TOOWOOMBA!”
In other news, our managing directors, Ken and Luanne, will be travelling to Melbourne this month as finalists in the Australian Technologies Competition. Ken and Luanne will be showcasing our Rapid Molecular Diagnostic Services one last time before the competition winners are announced on the 29th October.
We are also delighted to announce that the NATA accreditation for our microbiology laboratory is in the stages of being finalised. We thank our customers for their patience throughout this process.
With gratitude, again thank YOU for your ongoing support.
