AgEtal special services is excited to announce the implementation of a DNA-based test for the detection of Ascochyta rabiei in plant material. This new method enables highly specific detection of Ascochyta, even in samples with relatively low levels of contamination. This technique provides the opportunity for a rapid turnaround, compared to other detection methods, and is an option we are pleased to offer to our customers. Already we are working to adapt this technology to other microbiological and plant pathology applications, and anticipate expanding our DNA-based testing suite in the near future.
