GMO Testing for Seed & Grain
Certain regions prohibit exports which contain GMO, particularly canola. Make sure your seed and grain is safe for shipment with our GMO tests.
Our GMO test determines whether a crop contains Genetically Modified Organisms. Several states in Australia (Tasmania and South Australia) have a moratorium on Genetically Modified Organisms. This means that any product entering these states must be free from GM components.
In particular, this affects grain products entering Tasmania. Occasionally we find Canola seeds in product destined for Tasmania. Canola may be GMO. As a result, normally the entire shipment would be banned for export to Tasmania. However, a simple test for GMO Canola can allow the export to proceed.
